£2.3m programme launched to help Northern Ireland small businesses grow
Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald has announced a new £2.3 million programme aimed at helping small businesses across Northern Ireland develop their operations and secure sales in new markets.

The Groundwork for Growth programme, developed by Invest Northern Ireland, is expected to support 240 micro, small and medium-sized businesses over the next three years.
Successful applicants will be eligible for up to £15,000 in support, alongside practical advice and workshops designed to help businesses expand.
Groundwork for Growth targets smaller businesses
The programme is specifically aimed at businesses that are not currently part of Invest NI’s client portfolio.
Successful participants will become Invest NI clients and receive support covering product development, marketing, business development, training and exploring new export opportunities.
Economy Minister Caoimhe Archibald said the initiative would help ambitious businesses establish stronger foundations for future growth.
She said the programme would also help broaden access to Invest NI support, allowing smaller businesses to engage with the organisation earlier in their development.
Applications now open
Invest NI Chief Development Officer Alison Currie encouraged eligible businesses to consider applying.
She said the programme would help companies develop new skills, refine their products and markets, and build confidence in pursuing opportunities outside Northern Ireland.
Applications are now open, with eligibility criteria and further information available through Invest NI.
