The Linen Live Reward Scheme, introduced by Linen Quarter Business Improvement District (LQ BID) in June 2026, offers discounts and benefits at participating local businesses.

The initiative has expanded from 20 offers at launch to 40, covering hospitality, retail, leisure and services.

Belfast workers benefit from local discounts

The scheme aims to encourage people employed in the Linen Quarter to spend more time and money in the surrounding area.

Benefits include discounts at restaurants, bars, parking providers and other businesses.

Current offers highlighted by organisers include 15% off at Linenhall Bar, discounts at Euro Car Parks and Puddleducks Day Nursery, and priority booking with 10% off at Let’s Go Padel at Weaver’s Cross.

LQ BID said the initiative was designed to support local businesses while providing additional benefits for workers.

Scheme welcomes its 5,000th member

Sam Purnell, a Music Data Administrator at On Music, became the 5,000th person to receive a Linen Live Reward Card.

He said the scheme made it easier to discover offers at businesses close to his workplace.

Mr Purnell added that having access to nearby discounts encouraged him to make greater use of the area.

The milestone comes after the scheme doubled its number of participating offers during its first four months.

Linen Quarter BID highlights benefits for local businesses

Chris McCracken, Managing Director of LQ BID, welcomed the milestone and said the initiative was about more than discounts.

He said the scheme encouraged workers to discover new places, meet people and make the most of the Linen Quarter outside their normal working hours.

Activities highlighted by LQ BID include pizza-making experiences at Fratelli and a weekly running club.

The organisation hopes that encouraging local spending will support hospitality businesses, retailers and service providers across the district.

How to join the Linen Live Reward Scheme

The Linen Live Reward Card is free and available to people who work within Belfast’s Linen Quarter.

Participating members can access offers from businesses involved in the scheme.

Further details about eligibility, registration and current discounts are available through Linen Quarter BID.

Organisers say they intend to continue expanding the initiative and developing additional benefits for workers in the area.
