Belfast Giants beat Glasgow Clan 4-1 in Challenge Cup
The Belfast Giants earned a 4-1 home win over Glasgow Clan in the Challenge Cup at The O2 Belfast on Saturday, 17 October.

Four different Giants found the net as the hosts built a 4-0 lead before Glasgow scored a late consolation. The result also avenged the Giants’ 4-1 defeat by Clan in Glasgow in September.
Kaleb Pearson opened the scoring with a power-play goal at 18:19 in the first period, assisted by Jordan Kawaguchi and Morten Jensen.
Mike Lee doubled the advantage early in the second period, finishing a pass from Christian Berger at 23:21. Scott Conway made it 3-0 at 37:49, with JJ Piccinich and Mason Klee providing the assists.
Captain David Goodwin extended the lead to four just 41 seconds into the third period. Piccinich and Ty Prefontaine assisted on the goal.
Glasgow’s Steven Seigo scored at 47:48, assisted by Brady Risk and Mick Messner, but the Giants held on to secure the home victory.
Goalkeeper Jackson Whistle started for Belfast, while the official game sheet recorded an attendance of 7,239 at The O2.
The result gives the Giants a strong home response against a Glasgow side that had beaten them by the same scoreline in the teams’ previous meeting. The sides are due to meet again in Belfast on Sunday, 25 October.
